Anzac Day – Armidale and Guyra
Anzac day is the time for the community to come together and pay tribute to the first ANZACs and to all the brave servicemen and women who have since followed in their footsteps.
Programme – Armidale
4.45am Gunfire refreshments at Armidale Ex-services Memorial Club, 137 Dumaresq Street
5.25am Remembrance service for past members of Armidale Ex-services Memorial Club
5.45am Dawn service at Central Park, Armidale
6.30am Fellowship for veterans and service personnel at Armidale Ex-services Memorial Club
7.00am Breakfast for veterans and service personnel at Ex-services Memorial Club
8.00am Memorial service at Hillgrove (see entry ANZAC Day – Hillgrove for details)
8.45am Memorial service at Dangarsleigh (Dangarsleigh War Memorial, 755 Dangarsleigh Road)
10.15am ANZAC Day march – participants will assemble in Faulkner Street, adjacent to Post
10.40am ANZAC Day marchers will parade along Faulkner Street towards Central Park
11.00am Main commemoration service at Central Park
12.45-2.00pm Luncheon at Armidale Ex-services Memorial Club
There will be a temporary rolling road closure in place in Faulkner Street at the intersections with Dumaresq, Moore, Beardy and Rusden Streets from 10.00am. The road will be reopened once the parade has passed. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be conducted in the Town Hall, 127 Rusden Street. Such changes will be announced over the local radio station.

9.00am Service at the Multi-purpose Service (44-45 Sole Street)
10.00am Form up at Four Ways for march
10.30am March down Bradley Street
11.00am ANZAC Day Service at Soldiers’ Memorial Hall
12.30pm Lunch at Bowling Club (192 Bradley Street, Guyra)
Bradley Street (Guyra) will have road closures between 10.00am and 12.00pm to allow the march to proceed from Ollera Street to the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall. Bradley Street will be reopened to Mackenzie Street once the march has passed. The street will remain closed from Mackenzie Street to the southern side of the Hall to allow the crowd to gather for the service outside the Hall.
