Regent Honeyeater Field Day

Join Southern New England Landcare at the New England Regent Honeyeater Roadshow on 29 March with a bird identification walk and then learn about the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater.
This free field event will start with a morning bird walk led by Dr Steve Debus (UNE) followed by presentations from guest speakers, Leonie Pascua (Conservation Keeper of Taronga Western Plains Zoo) and Dr David Watson (ecologist and mistletoe specialist from Charles Sturt University). Find out about the captive breeding of the Regent Honeyeater as part of Taronga Zoo’s Regent Honeyeater Conservation Program. Hear about Mistletoes, their importance to Regent Honeyeaters as a source of nectar and the Hunter Mistletoe Propagation Program.
All welcome. Morning tea and Lunch provided.
Required: sturdy shoes, long sleeves, trousers, hat.
