Reimagined @ The Playhouse

Reimagined is a quintet from Bellingen (Gumbaynggirr country), presenting original “re-imaginings” of well-loved songs by The Beatles in an exciting format featuring improvising musicians.

The idea to rework selections from the The Beatles’ extensive discography was inspired by a desire to place the masterful lyricism and songwriting of Lennon, McCartney and Harrison in a totally new context. By incorporating explorations of complex rhythms, elements of jazz harmony, and plenty of space for improvisation, Reimagined invites audiences to appreciate the beauty of the original songs in a new light.

Featuring strong musicianship from locals Louise Gore (piano/arranging), Oscar Eager (trumpet), Memo Beltzer (bass), Otis Narbutas (drums) and Lillie O’Rourke (voice), Reimagined shows have been delighting crowds on the mid-north coast, and the group are looking forward to continuing to invite audiences to be transported by the beauty of live music and creativity.
