Seniors Festival @ NERAM

The New England Regional Art Museum is celebrating the Seniors Festival. The festival will include talks, wellness, guided tours and, for the first time, Art Bingo. Programs include both free and paid events, but it is requested that a booking be made.

11.am-12.00pm – Chair Yoga (stretch and flex) + U3A Information Session

2.00-3.30pm – Silver Swans – Silver Swans classes have been specifically designed for the over-55s, but whatever your age, if you are looking for a new way to keep fit and active, these ballet classes will put a spring in your step. Whether you have never danced before or want to get back into the swing of it, these classes have something for everyone.

Developed by RAD this programme based on research into dance practice for older learners – classes are only taught by Silver Swans Licensees.

If you have always wanted to do ballet, it is never too late to shine and what better way to start than with this free event! There will be a number of ballet barre’s set up within the Hinton Gallery for a quiet atmosphere. You are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and, if possible, shoes that have some flexibility.
