The Armidale Symphony Orchestra will present works by Shostakovich, Borodin & Tedesco. The afternoon will feature soloist Nick Metcalfe (cello) and guest conductor Jen Winley performing the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No.1 in E flat major. Isla Biffin (harp) returns to Armidale from her studies in Salzburg to perform the Tedesco Harp Concertino and the Orchestra will present Shostakovich's Jazz Suite No.1 and Borodin's famous Stepps on Central Asia.

The Armidale Youth Orchestras invite the community to its annual concert. Featuring groups from the AYO. These include a full orchestra, string percussion/wind and brass ensembles, plus guest musicians from the Armidale music community – this is a great and inexpensive opportunity to introduce children to the absolute joy of music-making with friends and to celebrate the talented young musicians of our region.
