A fun night of entertainment and bush dancing with the Big Hairy Bush Dance Band. The first night of the Guyra Trout Fest begins with a fun night for all the family with the Big Hairy Bush Dance Band. Learn to dance with a bush dance caller to walk you through the dances.- in advance. There will be food and beverages available.

Celebrating 50 Years - Relax by the campfire at Chaelundi  campground, listening to stores of years gone by, culture and the protection of this stunning park to mark this special occasion. Bring camp chair and cup to be filled with tea, coffee or milo.

Speed event (more use of skidpan), quickest times whilst navigating courses. Snacks and drinks available Saturday at the canteen with full BBQ available for purchase. Spectators welcome.

Celebrate 50 years of Guy Fawkes River National Park. Walk with the local Ranger from Chaelundi campground out to Lucifers Thumb lookout via Chaelundi Falls. Featuring our special guest poet, all the way from the Tweed and returning to Guyra after spud picking in the 60s, bush poet extraordinaire, Paddy O'Brien. Walk ups are welcome and camping is free at Mother of Ducks Lagoon. Breakfast is served from 9.00am and the event begins at 10.00am and goes to midday.
