No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.

Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

Armchair Theatre Performance

A Darkly Funny Performance with U3A's Armchair Theatre Group The New England Regional Art Museum is celebrating the Seniors Festival (funded by NSW Government). Join U3A’s Armchair Theatre Group in a creative performance of a pensioner’s untimely demise brought to life by the character’s parrot. Uralla Arts Annual Lantern Parade

Australian Army Band Concert

Dave Eddy Cyber Blues is an electric/electronic music project inspired by the first page of William Gibson’s Neuromancer, which depicts the Chatsubo Bar in Night City. Cyber Blues explores the world of livewire voodoo guitar and the Ghosts in the Machines. Dave Eddy is a versatile performer with years of experience, providing appropriate musical backing for a diverse range of events including  weddings, nightclubs, arts festival, theatre productions, school fundraisers, poetry performances and visualizations of world annihilation.
