Isla Biffin was born in 2001 in Armidale, Australia. She first started harp in 2007 with Sayo Lipman in Brisbane and later with Sebastian Lipman and Jane Rosenson. She has played with the Opera Australia Orchestra and as principal harpist with the Australian Youth Orchestra on multiple occasions. The Armidale Symphony Orchestra will present works by Shostakovich, Borodin & Tedesco. The afternoon will feature soloist Nick Metcalfe (cello) and guest conductor Jen Winley performing the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No.1 in E flat major. Isla Biffin (harp) returns to Armidale from her studies in Salzburg to perform the Tedesco Harp Concertino and the Orchestra will present Shostakovich's Jazz Suite No.1 and Borodin's famous Stepps on Central Asia.
