No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.
Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

Sausage sizzle lunch, registration, afternoon tea and cold meat salad for dinner. There will be raffles, auction, trading table and prizes. The event is an open triples (subject to change depending on numbers). Nominate your team, single entries welcome. Dress up if you wish, theme is Hawaiian - prize for best dressed team. No experience required, bowls available.

An invitation is extended to all interested persons to attend. A great Irish day with a bit of Irish humour for everyone! Competitions: Best St Patrick's Day dress-up; Best Green Hat; Best Irish Joke plus some Trivia and a sing-along. Lunch will be cold cuts and special salads plus dessert. St Patrick's Day theme Viewing from 6.30pm, with Official Opening by Mayor Robert Bell at 7.30pm. Music by The Rocky Bottom Girls. Come and enjoy the art and entertainment. See (and for sale) a spectacular array of gems, rocks, crystals, jewellery, crafts, beads and lapidary books/supplies/equipment. There will be a kid's treasure hunt and fossicking, raffle tickets ($1.00), great prizes, BBQ breakfast and lunch/light refreshments also available.
