No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.
Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

Following the dawn service there will be the usual cricket match between Wollomombi and Hillgrove at the Hillgrove Reserve from around 8.30am. The Wollomombi Stores' annual BBQ, 2UP and entertainment, provided by local legend AJ Williams will commence around 10.00am. Everyone is welcome.
The service will be followed by morning tea at the Hillgrove Museum, Scouler Street, Hillgrove. Discover ANZACs from Hillgrove, Jeogla and Wollomombi at the museum. Tea, coffee, ANZAC biscuits and BBQ egg and bacon sandwiches will be available at Museum immediately following the service. Everyone welcome.
2-up will be at the Wollomombi General Store (110 Wollomombi Village Road) commencing at completion of cricket (approximately 3.00pm). All profits to Chandler Primary School - come and enjoy a fabulous fun day out.
Come and enjoy jazz at one of Armidale's grooviest venues. Josh Kreusler Quintet showcases a series of compositions inspired by the local landscape. The band features Joshua Kreusler (guitar), Pat Harris (bass), Dave Van Tongeran (kit), Steve Harris (percussion) and Jhana Allen (violin). UNE is pleased to announce the resumption of Graduation ceremonies. Invitations are currently going out to graduating students who have completed their degree since December 2021. It is especially exciting to also offer additional ceremonies to our alumni who had to sadly miss out on their 2019, 2020, or 2021 graduation ceremonies. In the event of wet weather, the ceremonies will be held in Campbell Hall at Sport UNE due to the damage Lazenby Hall sustained during the October storm.

Breath Transformed: Grand Master Riley Lee (Shakuhachi) and Alana Blackburn (Recorders) will be performing works arranged for shakuhachi and recorder from the medieval period through to the 21st century, including a selection of works from Riley's new 3CD release of Hildegard music. Come, sit back, relax and clear your mind of any pressures. Allow the sweet, zen-like sounds take you to another moment in time.
