No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.

Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

Wooldridge Recreation & Fossicking Reserve Devoncourt Road (off Kingstown Road), URALLA, NSW, Australia

Depart Visitor Information Centre, 82 Marsh Street. Bring food (morning tea and lunch), water, binoculars, sunscreen and hat, and wear stout shoes. 129km north-east from Armidale - left off Waterfall Way onto Grafton/Armidale Road to Hernani, left onto Marengo Road, Eastern Perimeter Road, Jordan's track then Misty Creek Road - approximately 1hr 52min drive. Relax by the campfire at Chaelundi campground, listening to stories of years gone by, culture and the protection of this stunning park to mark the special occasion. Please bring camping chair and cup to be filled with tea, coffee or milo.

129km north-east from Armidale - left off Waterfall Way onto Grafton/Armidale Road to Hernani, left onto Marengo Road, Eastern Perimeter Road, Jordan's track then Misty Creek Road- approximately 1hr 52min drive. Walk (7.2km return) with local Ranger from Chaelundi campground out to Lucifer's Thumb lookout via Chaelundi Falls. Please bring drinking water, hat, suitable clothing, footwear and sunscreen.
