No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.

Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

Travels with Mary – Stories from the Suitcases

The Mary White Saumarez Collection is made up of a newly discovered array of stunning art deco travel posters and original documents collected by Mary White throughout her voyages from 1939-1947 which were found inside a set of attaché cases, now on show for the first time. ANZAC Service @ Wollomombi

St John's Presbyterian Church 78 Wollomombi Village Road, WOLLOMOMBI, NSW, Australia

Following the dawn service there will be the usual cricket match between Wollomombi and Hillgrove at the Hillgrove Reserve from around 8.30am. The Wollomombi Stores' annual BBQ, 2UP and entertainment, provided by local legend AJ Williams will commence around 10.00am. Everyone is welcome.

ANZAC Day – Hillgrove

Hillgrove Recreation Ground 265 Wood Street, HILLGROVE, NSW, Australia

The service will be followed by morning tea at the Hillgrove Museum, Scouler Street, Hillgrove. Discover ANZACs from Hillgrove, Jeogla and Wollomombi at the museum. The band features Joshua Kreusler (guitar), Pat Harris (bass), Dave Van Tongeran (kit), Steve Harris (percussion) and Jhana Allen (violin). UNE is pleased to announce the resumption of Graduation ceremonies. Invitations are currently going out to graduating students who have completed their degree since December 2021. It is especially exciting to also offer additional ceremonies to our alumni who had to sadly miss out on their 2019, 2020, or 2021 graduation ceremonies. In the event of wet weather, the ceremonies will be held in Campbell Hall at Sport UNE due to the damage Lazenby Hall sustained during the October storm.

Breath Transformed: Riley Lee and Alana Blackburn
