The Rocky Bottom Girls play a mix of bittersweet originals, old-time dance tunes and selected Irish and Americana ballads. Combining the musical connection of sisters Jhana (vocals, mandolin and fiddle) and Sujata (vocals, banjo and fiddle), Craig (guitarist/vocals) and Clara (IRL/UK) , the Rocky Bottom Girls bring you soaring four-part harmony, driving fiddle and banjo tunes and heartfelt stories from Anaiwan high country. Have you been intrigued by the specimens on display as part of The Art of Nature exhibition at NERAM? Then join us at UNE for an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Natural History Museum. Collections Manager, Professor Karl Vernes, will guide small groups through the museum displays and the collection space to share some stored specimens not seen by the general public. You won’t want to miss this very rare opportunity to peek behind the scenes!

Celebrations will commence at 11.30am with a Lions Club sausage sizzle, the Armidale Pipe Band, games and displays including veteran cars and displays of old farming equipment. To welcome in the spring, Sarah Adeney (soprano) and Inge Southcott (mezzo)  are singing lieder by Schubert and Brahms and Bruce Myers (baritone) is singing the cycle, Songs of Travel, by Vaughan Williams. John Clifton-Everest is accompanying on piano.

Organismics features the extraordinary artistry of Warwick Dunham on organ, Steve Thorneycroft on guitar and Cary Bennett on drums, who together reboot some of the classic soul jazz, R&B, funk, and LA lounge grooves of the 1960s and 70s for a marvellous night of music. UNE is pleased to announce the resumption of Graduation ceremonies. Invitations are currently going out to graduating students who have completed their degree since December 2021. It is especially exciting to also offer additional ceremonies to our alumni who had to sadly miss out on their 2019, 2020, or 2021 graduation ceremonies. In the event of wet weather, the ceremonies will be held in Campbell Hall at Sport UNE due to the damage Lazenby Hall sustained during the October storm.
