No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.
Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

Armidale Jockey Club's Autumn Racing Carnival continues with this seven-race TAB meeting. First race scheduled for 1.05pm, but this may change. Come and enjoy the competitive racing action in the club's comfortable facilities with friendly and welcoming service at the picturesque Armidale Racecourse. A variety of pre-purchased hospitality packages available which offer the full race day experience!
The clothing and accessories from the White family collection and many other gowns from the National Trust collection, will be displayed throughout the ground floor, adding a layer of interest and richness to the usual house tour which you will find excellent. 5.30am - ANZAC Dawn Service at St John's Church (78 Wollomombi Village Road, Wollomombi). 6.30am - Free Gunfire Breakfast at Wollomombi General Store. 10.00am - Annual Hillgrove versus Wollomombi cricket match at Hillgrove Oval with sausage sizzle lunch - ALL proceeds to Legacy. The Wollomombi Stores' annual two-up will commence after the finish of the cricket. Everyone is welcome.
8.00am - ANZAC service at War Memorial (cnr Brackin and Wood Streets). 9.00am - Breakfast at the Recreation Picnic Area (50 Brackin Street) - $10 (sorry – CASH only). 10.00am - Annual Hillgrove versus Wollomombi cricket match at Hillgrove Oval with sausage sizzle lunch - ALL proceeds to Legacy. The Wollomombi Store will host the 2UP following the cricket match. Everyone welcome.
