The music this Market Sunday Concert will feature Australian guitar music performed by Stephen Tafra.  Stephen Tafra is one of Armidale’s leading musicians, well known for his performances with EphenStephen, Tri and other groups, and as a soloist. This is a great opportunity to hear him explore some Australian repertoire.  Entry to the concert is free, though donations are encouraged.  While no restrictions apply the audience is encouraged  to use Covid-safe practices and social distancing.

Japanese Piano Music The music for the last Market Sunday Concert of the year features Japanese piano music played by Kees Grenyer. Kees is an up-and-coming Armidale pianist and teacher and earlier this year was musical director of the Armidale Drama and Music Society production of Les Miserables. The music this concert feature organists, Lena Schmalz and Eloise Ford, playing classical favourites arranged for organ, including pieces by Handel, Purcell, Chopin, Mussorgski, and Bach-Gounod. Lena is one of Armidale’s most accomplished organists and Eloise is an emerging star and holder of the Uniting Church organ scholarship. Archie has a growing reputation as singer/songwriter of attractive and occasionally whimsical songs and ballads. This is a great opportunity to hear one of Armidale’s emerging creative stars.
