Events in Armidale

No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.

Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

New England Antique Machinery & Heavy Horse Field Days

Armidale Showground 5 Dumaresq Street, ARMIDALE, NSW, Australia

TIME: 9.00am-4.00pm (Saturday), 9.00am-2.00pm (Sunday). COST: $10 (adult), free (school child) - EFTPOS available. Theme is anything Ferguson or Massey Ferguson. Vintage working machinery, small engines, steam engines, tractors, working draught horse demonstrations, vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles, tractor pull, military vehicles, post ripping, raffle, swap and stalls, mini tractor pull for kids and, of course, Grand Parades (Saturday and Sunday). Catering available.

New England Heritage Festival

Armidale Showground 5 Dumaresq Street, ARMIDALE, NSW, Australia

Vintage working machinery, small engines, steam-powered engines, tractors, working draught horse demonstrations, Australian  muscle cars, tractor pulls, sawmilling and blacksmithing,. Food trucks will be in attendance. On Sunday at 10.00am, Armitage & Buckley will manage a mega antique machinery and farm equipment auction.
