Armidale Events
No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.
Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

The Armidale Youth Orchestras invite the community to its annual concert. Featuring groups from the AYO. These include a full orchestra, string percussion/wind and brass ensembles, plus guest musicians from the Armidale music community – this is a great and inexpensive opportunity to introduce children to the absolute joy of music-making with friends and to celebrate the talented young musicians of our region. Recommended for ages 0 to 100!

The Australian Army Band is a 15-piece show band, including vocalists, bagpipes, rhythm section and winds. For several numbers the Army Band will be joined by the New England Wind Ensemble (NEWE), Armidale Youth Winds (AYW) and students from local school concert bands.
