No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.

Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

The UNE Discovery team is excited to bring a late afternoon science show to the Library. During National Science Week, young and old are invited to come along for some creative chemistry and a little magic of physics – some elephant’s toothpaste or a fire tornado may be created, perhaps  a light bulb levitated or a Chladni Plate vibrated. Book Release & Signing – Bridget Van der Eyk

Armidale author, Bridget Van der Eyk, is celebrating the release of her second contemporary romance book 3000 Words with a book signing event at the Armidale War Memorial Library. Copies will be available for purchase on the day for $25 (cash and EFTPOS payments available), or you are welcome to bring your own copy. Paperback copies of 10 Dates (the first book in the series) will also be available for purchase.
