Come and hear one of Australia's best School Orchestras in a concert of blazing orchestral colour. The full-sized orchestra will perform works by Brahms, Hermann & Rodrigo, Australian compositions and plenty of classical favourites along the way. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to support the work of Bush Church Aid. Program: Hermann: North by Northwest Overture; Rodrigo: Concierto d'Aranjuez. 2nd movement; Conyngham: Shoreline. New England Sings! is our nationally acclaimed, award-winning choral showcase bringing together over 800 students from across the New England region, accompanied by an 80-piece orchestra. In 2024, two new Australian choral works, commissioned especially for the 20th anniversary of the New England Conservatorium of Music, will premiere. The Armidale Symphony Orchestra will present works by Shostakovich, Borodin & Tedesco. The afternoon will feature soloist Nick Metcalfe (cello) and guest conductor Jen Winley performing the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No.1 in E flat major. Isla Biffin (harp) returns to Armidale from her studies in Salzburg to perform the Tedesco Harp Concertino and the Orchestra will present Shostakovich's Jazz Suite No.1 and Borodin's famous Stepps on Central Asia.

Join Sydney Youth Orchestras and 300 of NSW's finest young orchestral musicians at a showcase concert. The concert features the Sydney Youth Orchestras’ Richard Gill Chamber Orchestra (RGCO), Western Sydney Youth Orchestra (WSYO), Peter Seymour Orchestra (PSO), Symphonic Wind Orchestra (SWO) and 80 regional guest musicians for an exciting showcase concert. Led by John Ockwell, Kate Morgan, Aija Draguns, Tyler Wilkinson, James Pensini; the musicians will be performing a range of classical bangers ranging Mozart, Sibelius and Tchaikovsky.
