No matter what time of year you visit, chances are there will be an event or festival in or around Armidale.
Events not to be missed include the Autumn Festival, Big Chill Festival, The Bach Festival, The New England Garden Festival, Armidale International Film Festival and Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival. Other great annual events include New England Sings, The Armidale Cup, Guyra Trout Festival, Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party, Vintage Truck, Machinery and Heavy Horse Show and the NEGS Equestrian events. The calendar is full with premier sport events including the TAS Rugby Carnivals, Tour de Rocks and the 12hr Mountain Bike Enduro.

Come along to see hundreds of keen Rugby players from six to twelve years representing clubs across the region. Grab a bacon and egg brekky roll, a steak sandwich or some other home-baked goodies. Rugby Gala Days bring together a great community from the coast out to Moree and down to Scone, and the Armidale Gala Day culminates the 2024 season.
This Carnival is the largest junior rugby carnival held, over two days, in Australia, attracting young rugby enthusiasts and their coaches, along with committed families and supporters from all over the country. The carnival caters for under 12 teams and a girls 7s Competition for 14s and 16s players. The 23rd year-camp provides a unique opportunity to LIVE IN (stay on-site) and get a full holistic Rugby experience with focus on the on-field and off-field development of all camp participants. NSW RUGBY Development and Coaching staff will provide all the on-field curriculum and coaching with off-field development around nutrition, flexibility and strength.
